From Munich Airport (MUC):
Distance to GHOTEL Hotel and Living Muenchen-City is 37 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Take the S8 or S1 line to the main train station in Munich. Change to subway line U4 or U5 in the direction of Leimer Platz and get off at the next stop, which will be Theresienwiese. Leave the main station through the south entrance, turn right onto Bayerstrasse, then left onto Paul-Heyse-Strasse and finally right onto Landwehrstrasse at the second intersection. Taxis leave from the airport and go directly to GHOTEL Muenchen-City and cost approximately 65 EUR.
Getting around. Munich has a modern, efficient integrated public transportation system. One ticket allows transfers between buses, trams, streetcars, U-Bahn and S-Bahn. Visitors can buy a one or three day welcome card, which allows unlimited access to all public transportation in the city centre and costs 15.50 EUR per person. Make sure and validate the card at one of the machines in the station or onboard buses and trams before travelling. Munich Altstadt (Old Town) is very easy to navigate on foot.
