Getting there. A taxi to central Milan costs about 15 EUR 20 EUR. An airport shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes to Milan s Stazione Centr ale (central station). The fare is 3 EUR for a single ticket. The number 73 bus leaves every 10 minutes from outside arrivals and runs to San Babila sta tion on Milan s underground metro system. The fare is 1 EUR for a single tic ket. Getting around. The city centre is easy to explore on foot, and there are pedestrianised areas around the Duomo. A comprehensive n etwork of trams, buses, and four metro lines offers efficient travel through out the city. Integrated tickets for all modes of public transport can be pu rchased at newsagents, metro stations, tobacconists, and most coffee bars. D riving is not recommended in Milan s city centre. There are many one-way str eets, traffic is heavy, and parking is limited. Cars parked illegally are to wed or fined.
